John Carpenter is a film producer wrote many of his own soundtracks, as he wanted to maintain full control over his vision for the mood an emotion for his films. He even once commented that you should only listen to his tracks if you have seen the film, or else it will make no sense and will not have served its purpose. "The End" is a dark, moody and mysterious electronic arrangement around 125 BPM, and even though i have not seen the film, just by looking at the cover and listening to the track, i can already sense a slightly dark and depressed tone. "The End" is still played today by all the top electronic jocks such as Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Juan Atkins and DJ Hell. Its now 23 years old, but still sounds amazing today, and you can tell its the work of someone who puts real emotion into his work.
