GU 019 LA was the first time i was exposed to a digweed mix, and (particularly disc1) blew me away with its dark, defiant, even somewhat desolate sound. several years later, and having a far more superior knowledge of house music, i listened to it again...and found i appreciated even more its fluid, intelligent mixing, and dark, dirty edge. they don't make em like this anymore. a darn shame...

I love digweed, but just didnt get that excited about the track selection on these 2 discs.
communicate for me was a far superior set of discs, and will be the one to beat for quite sometime.
there are a few highlights on the set, including satoshi and jimmy van m, but i have heard a lot better all in all.

Perhaps one of Diggers' finest GU performances, LA boasts a fluidity of track selection and technically proficient mixing that is quite off the hook. I would definately rank GU LA as a premier element of the rather phenomenal series.
