Have you ever thought about the "perfect Christmas present"? Imagine a friend or a member of your family, who's obsessed with good music, and you'd like to give him or her a gift that is the synonime of good music. Well, prof. Padilla's Bella Musica is undoubtedly the best choice for such a present.
With a really nice and creative cover it already gives us something different from other well-known chillout compilations. And it is really different, even if you take a look on the tracklist in the back cover. You may recognize there is a variety of nowadays' greatest performers (Gabin, Christophe Goze, Ive Mendes, Padilla itself) and the oldies (Gloria Lynne, Love Unlimited Orchestra with Barry White on the top, Baden Powell, Joao Gilberto). General chillout compilations are tend to collect very boring and similar tracks, but you can join a very tasty and colorful session here. Main style is mediterranean, the album itself has a warm influence from the beginning till the end, and besides, chillout, acid jazz, deep house, flamenco, soul and quality pop are very good friends on Bella Musica.
Actually - except track 8 by Emiliana Torrini, which is terrible if you ask me - every track is a simple masterpiece. Padilla has a good sense to gather them together, create an order paying attention to the mood-conception. With this compilation you'll get love and power to your heart, and you can also give them to your loved ones - for example with this disc.
