Juju & Jordash ‎– Dekmantel EP

Great EP from JnJ to kick off the new Dekmantel label. Juju & Jordash have been on the deep house scene for a few years but I never knew of them until I stumbled upon their track on the Earth People Sampler which released in January of 2009. On this release "Deep Blue Meanies" quite nicely straddles the line between deep house and techno. It is seriously organic material that will appeal to those who like their techno true and straight up. There is absolutely no hint of computer involvement in the sound of this record, although I'm not sure that is really the case. If you are interested in Keith Worthy's melodic analog sound you'll definitely dig the way this takes you to your own little place of serenity. Lerosa, who recently dropped a bomb on Ostgut with his track "Plesso" gets a remix from JnJ on the B-side. This one is not as friendly to its listeners as is the A-side. The track cruises at 110bpm with zero remorse for those bodies who happen to venture into the path of its outstanding bassline.

JnJ have created their own unique sound and I truly respect what they are doing on this new label. In corresponding with Jordash on a few occasions, he has proven to be very helpful and a true gentleman. Dekmantel is a great label that is worth supporting as I can only imagine more greatness in the future.
