Julian Liberator's best ever release, 3 out of the 4 tracks will rip the shit out of any peak-time hard or acid techno dancefloor you care to drop it on! The highlight of this little beaut is with-out-a-doubt the c.1 track 'funky' - building like Bob, dropping like a pair o' whoares knickers, then swooping like Batman on mushrooms, the true, blissfull, fucktup-funktout dynamics of this devious banger reveal themselves through the use of Cynthia Johnson's (of Lipps,Inc fame) 'Funky Town' vocal hook. Blinding stuff...Belting Bristish free party techno at its best...

Four tracks of dirty, loud, in-yer-face techno. As usual for 4x4 they are identified only as "Funky" ,"Deep", "Hard" and "Clanking", and all are strong late-night tunes, but it is "Funky" that is the secret weapon on this twelve. Making extensive but clever use of samples from Lipps Inc's ancient disco classic "Funkytown", this one rocks. It could be described as cheesy but I'm not ashamed to say I love it and it really works.
This Vinyl starts with a happy hard and funky Track, really cool samples from lip incs funkytown rec. A2 comes with a deep stomper, you´ll get attention from the audience for sure. B1 is another jungle like that, cool but all the other Tracks are better. B2 is a real fucker to the brain, mad highs and deep hard bass and bassdrum! Excellent work here 5/5
