Yep, the breakdown samples collapse - my love which is a wicked tune in itself. Considering that they have re-released so many of the classic hardcore over the past few years, I'm amazed that southe my soul has gone virtually untouched. It's a belter and unlike the previous review, it's the main hardcore riffs that do it for me rather than the breakdown. It's a classic and you'll find southe my soul on youtube if you can't find an mp3 anywhere else. Every dj at the time played this and like I said, I'm amazed it hasn't been re-released.

Anthem on here for sure!

The label on the A side of this EP is printed wrong.

The Soothe My Soul Original mix on the B-side is the one that got played the most but having just backed up my vinyl of this to DVD I listened to the Remix (1st track on Side A) and think I may have to start playing it in my radio show.

I have the original acapella of Soothe my soul on a bootleg but no idea where it originates from but I suspect it will appear on old Sasha tapes somewhere. The Chords are from the acapella too

Other tracks on this EP don't really stand out for me.

I can't believe no one has left love for "Soothe My Soul"!!! To be fair, i'm also surprised no one has bootlegged this yet either? The breakdown is pure ecstacy. This, i believe, got caned back in the day by a lot of DJ's. If i was a producer, i'd be ripping that breakdown right off!

The build up is fairly run of the mill "hardcore". A nice rolling break with some kicking sub bass, but nothing prepares you for the breakdown however.

The breakdown is pure ecstacy. A nice female chant over some lush chords. I'm pretty sure this is sampled from something but i dont know what. My only gripe is the breakdown is not drawn out long enough. This will however, raise all hands in the place.

I'm led to believe that this was a big crwod pleaser back in the day ; i was only 11 years old in 1992, but listening to it (and seeing the Amnesia House book of love video where Carl Cox drops this tune), i can appreciate its floor filling qualities.

It's tracks like this that make you realise just how pivtol the 1990-1992 rave era really was. This was a movement that has shaped a generation. Damn, i'd love to have been 18 years old back then going to the raves to hear tracks like this.
