Reviews & Discussion

This wasn't a bad release but I also wasn't to impressed. What we have is creations by Keith Jarrett played by the Sax of Jan Garbarek and the Südfunk Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart. It's a good combo but I find the Sax is either getting in the way of the Strings or visa-versa. I the second track "Windsong" is probably the best on here. It moves well and keeps your attention better than the other two longer ones. I like Orchestra mixed with Jazz a lot, which is why I checked this disc out, but to me I think if Keith played the Sax or piano in this it would have been better. The release is kind of a ambient jazz mix as well. Good, but not exciting.
