Overlap is a fairly straight forward techno track of the day. The percussion is a bit ahead of it's time as it has that loopy aggressive tech famous with Swedish producers were doing around the time on into the millenium. Ken Ishii's pitter-pat beat studders and solid melody makes this recognizable that it's from him to anyone who continued to listen to him as the next 5 years went on with similar songs like Iceblink and Auburnia. Dj food does a pretty good chill out drum n bass version. A young Mark Broom does a club version with fair success. A stomper if your into big in your face techno tracks.

Well not surprisingly Ken turns it over to fellow R&S producer of the time Dave Angel so he can do his thing. IMO its hard to play the pretty good original song after hearing this remix. It uses the same melody but turns into a up and down epic techno track. Think a 'Diabla' heavenly remix and you have the idea. Since the melody is similar I think the breaks in the tracks are better than the original and Dave really wraps up what the original melody hinted at. In a memorable way. Dave Angel was awesome in 1991-1996. If you like Dave and Ken you will be happy owning this like I do. Not fantastic but solid
