Enormous grooves. Tidal waves of technosoul, electrojazz, or whatever you like to call it. I wish I was into this stuff a lot earlier; I can only imagine what tracks like 'Catatonic (State One)' and 'Loop 2' sound like in clubs. If I ever get slapped in the face by this music I just know it will leave me spasmodic, replete with physical energy but energized by the music and dancing, dancing, dancing. Inspirational.
I dusted this down and played this in my car a couple of days ago. This is everything wonderful about techno. Clean rhythms, space, texture and soul. I had a huge grin on my face by the time Loop 2's bassline kicked in. It will not gather dust again. I am losing touch a little with todays techno - please let me know if there is anything out there today that sounds like this?
