Just as an addendum to the comment above, my sources tell me that "Bar A Thym" is an in joke for "Bar at HYM", meaning Bar at His / Yours / Mine...

A great story and a classic track, Chris Walken would be proud, the cowbell in this baby would certainly have got rid of his fever!!! And the keyboard creeping through on the off beat of the cowbell just makes this such a unique deep house bomb that never fails to satisfy!!!

This title, Bar A Thym, probably deserves an explanation. It's a nice tribute to the city of Toulon (France) and it's Sunslice house music festival. 3 years in a row, from 2002 to 2004, Kerri was there, with some of his friends. Bar A Thym is bar where some afters took place, with a real party atmosphere. One night, you could find at the Bar A Thym the likes of Kerri Chandler, DJ Deep, Blaze (Kevin Hedge & Josh Milan), Jovonn & Dennis Ferrer ...

If all house music were like Bar A Thym I'd be a signed up house head. This track has all the right elements in abundant quantities. An insistant, thumping kick, deep but groove laden bassline, a superb, mind expanding lead synth and just the right amount of percussion to carry it along without being dominant.
