This box is a very interesting release for the fans of Kraftwerk, especially for the collectors. The discs come in a huge, massive cardboard box, styled like an notebook, with an amazing holographic picture as "screen". Every piece of the box is of very high quality. The book with its minimalism is very Kraftwerk like,it contains only a few words, not more than the title, the credits and some information about live crew and equipment, but awsome Kraftwerk live shots and graphics.
The concert shots on the double DVD are just great, the quality of recording, especially the sound quality is top. The same is to say about the audio CDs.
The new versions of the classic Kraftwerk tunes are not too modernized to become silly, they definitly keep the spirit of the songs alive.
As a last point I have to say that this set is really expensive, but it is worth the money for every Kraftwerk fan. Hardcore fans should try to get one of this before they buy the DVDs and the CDs separate.

Whilst I would argue that the forthcoming DVD release is the one to get an idea of the true Kraftwerk live experience, this double live CD is probably one of the best live CDs around, although there is much conjecture as to exactly how much of it is actually "live". More than anything though, it serves ultimately as a superb greatest hits package as well, providing the listener with a rich catalogue of many of the band's best songs updated for their recent 2004 tour.

The most immediate aspect of this release is the richness and incredible sonic clarity of their sound, most apparent in the opening track "Man Machine". Expo 2000 is now retitled "Planet of Visions" and has elements of both the DJ Roland and UR remixes added to it. Yet it's the segment from "Tour De France" to "The Robots" which, with each song, provides us with essentially some of the most important and influential tracks in dance music. Kraftwerk's skill, still apparent today, is in detail, and it's most evident in a breathtaking version of "Radioactivity". An essential release.
