Reviews & Discussion

referencing The Telephone Call, 12", 12 EMI 5602

One of the best Kraftwerk 12" releases in my opinion. You can hear Kevorkian really getting to work here, drawing out the duration of what are some of the deepest electro sections of any Kraftwerk tracks, with more overall depth and content to it than his "Tour De France" remix. Nice to have the German speaking version on here too. Although all 3 versions are great, it's the latter half of the A-side track where those less inclined towards camp vocals will be heading to blend those squelchy bass sounds and crazy telephone call samples into their sets. The B1 version has no singing in it, but misses out on that bass, which is a shame as it would otherwise have been the winner. That said, the A side is long enough that just playing the last half of it will suffice.
