Another very unKylie-sounding Kylie tune, but at least this sometime, I'm reminded of why I love Kylie so much.

Upon hearing that intro built from bubby bass, ballerina synths and that almost dated 808 drum sounds, I'm forced to check the packaging to make sure I didn't pick up a Human League release. Yes, it's definitely Kylie and the amazing chorus is enough to convince me. Still, 'I Believe In You' sounds like it belongs on a tribute album to aforementioned group. There's lots of nostalgic 80s sound effects thrown in here and it's clear that Kylie is thoroughly enjoying herself for the three-and-a-half minutes.

The amazing thing about Kylie is that it's almost as though she wears her heart on her sleeve because it's so easy to empathise with her; when she's having a good time, so is the listener.

The A-side is a nice Giorgio Moroder-esque disco/electro monster written by Scissor Sisters and deserved to be a big hit in the US, but sadly wasn't - but the real action is the amazing non-LP B-side, BPM, a peak-hour disco/house anthem that's addictive on impact - truly one of the BEST songs Kylie's ever done - it was actually recorded during her BODY LANGUAGE sessions, but somehow left off for odd reasons, since it would surely have been one of the highlights from that album if included. It has a filtered-disco-French house Daft-Punk-esque bassline and genius breakdow and a killer sing-a-long chorus that sticks in your brain for days.
