Each track on this CD is a layered gem, tying jazzy and dubby elements with faint vocal snippets to form coherent, catchy tunes. The mixing is superb, with each transition revealing minute percussive variations aided by subtle fades.
Even a those completely ignorant of DnB know of LTJ Bukem and his 20 year career, and his experience seems fairly evident to me in this CD. There are no wild variations between the tracks or particularly special moments, but this mix works as a whole in a way that very few DJs are able to achieve. The flow is superb and the mood well-maintained.
I'd recommend this CD for experience listeners already acquainted with the genre (several of my more experienced friends enjoyed it), as well as those looking for a painless entry to the scene.
My favourite track is number 8. The guitar chords are haunting and happy at the same time.
