Brilliant mixes! Hard to say which is better- they are both fantastic and have stood up well over 10 (damn!) years.
My favorite is though is CD 1, especially the deeper than deep breakdown in the middle- the stretch from Braxton Holmes to 6K just floors me every time. Other great mixes are the Tyree and Teste tracks and the Bobby Konders/Acid Eiffel mix- stunning.

I remember when he would play these tracks at Wake Up at the Rex in Paris- the Bobby Konders, Essit Muzique, AJ Sound, Scan X and Shufflemaster tracks were staples (especially the last two, I almost never heard a set that year without them and they would destroy the crowd every time!)

By the way- the Chaser track is called "Destination Unknown", not "Sides of Iron".

When you can take a mix that is 10 years old and play it back and still feel the original message, that is a good mix and a good DJ. Laurent will always be respected by those he has touched over the years. This mix in particular has not aged much in its ten year lifespan. A choice selection mixed effortlessly and still a worthy listen. Not many DJ's can do that with this much style and finesse.

It's not often you'll find a mix set containing such a fine selection of deep, amost emotional techno, but this has it! Where as CD1 is the more in yer face of the 2, CD2 will leave you speechless...it's not for every occasion but imagine your laid out under the stars, in a field, with this pumping out into the night breeze, well you know what I'm saying. Blended to perfection, thought provoking tunes.

perfect blended mix , like only laurent garnier could mix - longtime playing 2 records at the same time without clashing beats - therefore it is not possible to select or skip indiviadual trax - just 2 long mixes love it or leave it style + hologrophic cover - was released shortly before christmas so it was an extra well packaged set .
