Not even the fully-talented drummer John Bonham himself (considered one of the best Rock & Roll drummers ever), on his opening drum performance of Led Zeppelin IV's last tune "When The Levee Breaks" would imagine that his breakbeats would be sampled years later by so many of the dance music standards.
Hip Hop acts such as Beastie Boys, Dr. Dre, Ice-T and Eminen are just some of them, as well of Wild Bunch guys of Massive Attack (with "Man Next Door"). The Electronic Music also borrowed "When The Levee Breaks" beats; you can hear them on "Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode, but also standards of samplemania like "Beats And Peaces" from Coldcut & Steinski, the drop from 'J.T. & The Big Family – Moments In Soul', "Devotion" from Kicking Back with Taxman (1990) and 'Saint Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart', all from the Cool steps era.
The list is immense, almost impossible to mention on its full extension. Considering that this is just one of "Led Zeppelin IV"'s tunes (you also have the slow classy "Stairway To Heaven", plus "Black Dog" and "Rock & Roll") you have an idea of the album's importance, not only for the Rockers, but other music genres addicteds.
