Everybody is of course with the Original mix, but the real new here is the Halo mix. The much vaunted Baby Doc remix suggests that it is indeed impossible to 'out do' the original, so it's a wise choice for Brian Varga to deliver a 'half paced' remix instead. In doing so, he is able to accentuate the deeply thoughtful and moody textures which underpin the otherwise raucous original. The result is a haunting masterpiece that takes this record into a completely different direction, but one that can still work on the more progressive trance floors. The Halo mix actually succeeds over the original in being better for home listening, particularly when being used as a 'stress buster'.
