Notes
This is a two disc DVD / CD set containing the film, "Edison's Frankenstein" with the new score by Life Toward Twilight, and an audio CD with the score and a few other unreleased Life Toward Twilight tracks. It is packaged in a black DVD case.
This Edison Studios film from 1910 not only is the first moving picture version of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but is also believed to be the first American horror movie. It was lost from memory until a series of serendipitous incidents led to the discovery of the lone surviving reel from the hands of a collector in the 1970’s.
This new score has been composed in homage to those early pioneers of cinema who have transformed this once “vulgar” medium to the art form it is today.
This release was also published in a limited edition, containing the CDr and DVDr in a CD wallet.
