Liquid Blasted ‎– Robokind

Here we have another gem of Liquid Blasted's oeuvre. Fresh from cold Russia, another industrial masterpiece from the robot man. Interesting about this release is the slower BPM's compared to most other records this man's put out. On Kremlincore, No Core 06 and DDT03 we already got a small taste of how Liquid Blasted sounds in a more techno-influenced modus, on IST 39 we finally encounter a whole EP dedicated to his slower taste. The lower tempo allows the bassdrums and noises to create a very catchy and stomping feeling. As always we have distorted bassdrums, combined with a lot of noisy and metallic sounding percussion thrown in to make for a nice danceable industrial hardcore.
"Libertee" must be the most brutal sounding track, absolutely no mercy here, a hard snare and a hard beat is all we encounter here. "Robokind" and "Neuro Artillery" make for me the best danceable, the bouncing kicks are accompanied by rythmically cut noises and blips which create a very hardtechno-ish groove, finished off in an entirely typical Liquid Blasted crunch.
The EP ends off with "Man in Machine". The slowest track on the EP, consists of a hard slow-mo kickdrum combined with some electric noises and a Robotic Voice talking tot he listener. A nice way to tend another episode in Liquid Blasted's post-apocalyptic robot world. After this, you'll only want to start up the record all over again!
this record makes for a fine introduction in the fresh sounds industrial hardcore has to offer.
