I will tell you why this masteroiece on wax was never commercially released, because it samples Crazy Legs from Rock Steady Crew in the introduction and follows with (just to name some of the samples) Aretha Franklin's - Rock Steady, UTFO - Bite It, Jimmy Castor's - It's Just Begun, Incredible Bongo Band's - Apache, Arthur Baker - Breakers Revenge (Break Accapella sample), Masterdon Comittee's - Get Off My Tip, KRS One (various tunes), Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five (sampling Daisy Lady by 7th Wonder in their song), Joeski Love - Peewee's Dance (Huh What? sample), Audio Two - Top Billin', Lquid Liquid Cavern (thats what the source of remix is), Egyptian Lover's - What is a DJ if He Can't Scratch, Cerrone - Rockit in the Pockit, Jazzy Jay - Def Jam (Russel Rush), King Tech & Sway, MV Lyte, and thats just off the top of my head. Absolutely Essential B Boy material mastermix and no wonder it never came out
the newer kids could learn alot from this record
i don't know why mo' wax never released this. the phantom mix is an old-school cut and paste in the steinski and mass media vein. if you can find this one, it's a keeper.
