One of the devastating tunes of the Acid New Beat era, 'I Sit on Acid' represented a great example of the TB 303 influence on the belgian New Beat sound. The creation of this track was widely different from the others of that time. The lovely voice of a girl chanting the famous "Darling, come here, fuck me up the rear!", rudely interrupted by a massive acid bassline storm and rough beats shocked almost everyone. It is very important to mention that these erotic expressions on a dark atmosphere constituted tipical acid new beat elements.
Some crazy young belgians created the classic, such as Praga Khan, Nikkie Van Lierop (aka Jade 4U, one of the divas of the dance music), 'Dirty' Harry Van Oekel and Chris Inger (member of Nasty Thoughts and Major Problem). The three last members mentioned were also part of 101, which sugests that the whole amount of the New Beat projects were privilege of only few artists.
"Darling come here..." Acidic New Beat. Typical of other New Beat tracks, a slower tempo with sexual lyric samples. Very few New Beat tracks became radio worthy in the US. Along with Rhythm Device's "Acid Rock," this is one track that got some radio play on Dance Radio stations.
