Los Cyber Cholos are me Dmitri SFC oF The Sexicanz COA recordings and Luis Roberto aka Lu Rob. This was the first 12" we did together. "Korupshun" was a track that LuRob had done on his own and brought to me to rework in my Digital Performer system. In my opinion his original version was way way better. I was only able to kind of straighten it out and fit it in to a grid that it really didn't need to be in. "No Hay" was our real collaboration on this 12" and seemed to get the most play. We sampled from some very rare vintage Cumbia vinyl of Luis's own mother's collection. I will never mention the name of the artist that we sampled... if you know then you know. Also Luis placed the release with a burgeoning Santa Barbra based house music imprint that never took off and Our buddy Gabe Ortega aka Aztech Sol at Kashmire distribution based in LA took the bulk of pressed copies for distro resulting in the gangsta product id number KSD187.
