A solid and focused effort from Louis Haiman. His follow up to his 2006 release 'Actualiztion' meanders in to many different electronic idioms while maintaining a unique cohesive Neo-Detroit style all his own. The tracks almost sound as if he is paying homage to his many influences: Jazz, Detroit, Chicago, Acid, Techno, Ambient etc.

My favorites: "Dulce" is a well arranged, sun drenched and laid back jam, while the harder edged "Future Acid Memories" is just that: a neo acid track with a bass line that you cannot quite pinpoint where you might've heard it before. I'm thinkin' the classic "Acid Tracks" by Phutre. "What U Make of It" is an inward thinking and reflective, pitched down electro break beat tweak-fest with this sick-skittish and processed string arrangement drone and melody with a heavy shoe-gazer bass to keep it all grounded. Louis definitely displays his mastery of electronic styles on this release. Well done.

Big respect for his Fwdthought label making this music widely available as a FREE download-pre-release stylee. It looks like CD, Digital Download and Vinyl formats are also forthcoming.
