Excellent compliment to Louis Haiman/ Fwdthought's "Life After People" project, which has been out online for about a year now as a digital download over on Bandcamp. The music here is lush, sparse, melancholy. The A Side seems to be an experiment in textures with minimal groove. Def some sleeper tracks good for home listening. B Side kicks it up a notch. 'Tribalesque' is a simple, lush, modulating chord pad over a jackin' 909 rhythm composition. Will sound nice on the dance floor. (Derrick May featured this one on one of his BBC 6 MIx appearances.) However, the standout track here is 'Lo Ride Sci Fi' with it's elements of Brooklyn freestyle melodies and electro/ bossa nova grooves. Really, a great mix of things going on here. It paints the picture of a low ride Impala, cruising a futuristic urban landscape, windows down, infared bass pumping. Well done.
