Timeless album from a master of his craft, I wish Luomo could produce an album like this again. His new material doesn't compare to the landmark he made here, maybe not as commercially viable but that is what made it so good. It has everything you could ever fall in love with in deep music, dubby textures and an atmosphere created from a jazz players heart. After receiving a promo of the new Luomo album "Convivial" I have to wonder what happened to Luomo? "The Present Lover" was the first step in a commercial direction but "Paper Tigers" and this new one certify that the Luomo most of us fell in love with is now gone, bring him back please!
