What we have here is the ultimate proof that I don't need whales or sounds from the rainforest to chill-out. Although many listeners have defined this album as 'dark' I have always considered it as the ultimate bedtime CD. It relaxes me instantly, it makes me feel comfortable & safe and most important, it sounds beautiful all the way through. I guess this is the type of music that I will hear at the end of the tunnel. Music for angels on earth, like me! Brian's best work so far. Pitty it has not been repressed yet!

Vacuous. That's the one word that comes to mind every time I listen to this absolutely fantastic release. I could think of no better title for it either, as one can easily imagine oneself drifting off into the black nothingness of space. Is this dark? Most definitely. Is it negative, though? Perhaps not. I, too, find this very relaxing, especially with the lights off and a cool breeze coming through the room. But it's certainly not cheery and happy. This is the ambient album for the Zen student seeking the great void.
