The style of this single is quite different than the rest of M's catalog. It has more to do with glam rock than disco; in fact, note the Marc Bolan reference on the single's b-side "Satisfy Your Lust": as the song begins, Robin Scott says "Meanwhile, I'm still thinking", just as Bolan did on the fade-out of "Get It On".
The synths that do appear here are very kitschy, and are used more as a compliment to the guitars. I much prefer these versions to the ones that appeared on the album.
