Reviews & Discussion

I totally disagree with the other reviewer, first of all this is not a 70s/80s bridge as this is from 1987! House Music, Italo disco, new beat and Techno to name a few were strong at that time already.

Also, there´s nothing so revolutionaire about this release as everybody at that time were doing quite the same things with crazy samples and acid house. Bomb the Bass and Coldcut are good exemples and far better than this one hit wonder band.

As we all know this record contains tons of (uncleared) samples, this particular release still contains the 'stock aitken and waterman - roadblock scream" which seems to have vanished in later versions

I just listened to this yesterday after not hearing it for years and it STILL sounds great. It hasn't aged at all. The flipside, "Anitina", is a completely different beast. It's a tremendous spaced out dubby excercise with cavernous basslines, ultra-processed vocals, and a slow, pounding synthbeat. One of the most innovative b-sides ever put onto vinyl.

If there's a song out there that it's worth to be labeled "historical track" this is the one.
A revolution, this is the bridge from 70s/80s typical discomusic to a new world.

Not owning this record should be considered a crime.

This is probably the first "House" track to get international radio play. It is also probably the first "House" track to have a video played on MTV.
