Featuring a wicked, big old-skool style riff, this is one hell of an uplifting tune. It's all carried along by a phat electro-disco bassline. The beats are housey but with a slight break and a cheeky little use of a much used sample back in the golden days of rave. Some dreamy, trancey sounds weave in and out to relieve the tension before the tune bursts into life again. Anyone who went to a rave in the early 90's and hears this one will be saying "Oh...I remember this one...What's it called?". This sounds like it was made in the early 90's but also has it's feet planted in the present.
"Disco 2 Break" is a pretty good electro/breaks effort but is ruined for me by some annoying vocals. "Rinse Time" is very good. Another old-skool tinged track which even comes complete with some nice bleeps. Sounds a bit like a breaksy remix of a Prodigy tune.
These guys obviously went to a few raves "back in the day" and felt quite nostalgic when making this record. Even the title hints at this. If "Overhang" doesn't get your party rockin' then it's time to call it a day and get an early night I reckon! WICKED TUNE!!!
