A big change for MFG (but at the time, a lot of goa trance artists were changing their sound to fit into the new sound of trance), but even so, this is a very strong effort and there are some amazing songs here. I really enjoy Brainwaves, Feel Like God and the title track, The Message. The Message is very interesting because it uses a live guitar (I think) and makes a very memorable outro for the album. A bit goa, a bit alternative rock and a bit full on. MFG have always been a stand out for trance, but even when the genre was changing and numerous new artists were emerging, they managed to keep the quality high.

This album, even though it is much different than previous MFG releases (which were quite goaish and fullonish for their time), is amazing. Made in 2000, this album has the "minimal feel" but it is actually full of dark and dreamy sounds. This is not goa or anything close to goa, but it's very good. VERY good.
