The A side has got the proper acid drive, would be very good was it not for the silly and annoying vocal. i mean I know what acid vocals are about, but this one sounds very unatuthentic. The B side is a rather standard Colgne stuff. To say it again: A side instrumental would be great!
Proving M. Mayer has no interest in being stylistic, this record really shows a producer at the top of his career. The A side is a dark 4/4 paced beat, filled with ‘classic’ acid lines and deep vocals; it truly recreates the brilliance of the classic acid tracks from the past. The B side, while not as impressive, gives more of typical Mayer ‘thump’ track.
