Following the line of Richie Hawtin's 'DE9: Transitions', Magda applies a similar formula, but opts for a higher degree of funkiness. Through the mixing technique that both these artists use, it really is possible to make something very cool out of basically 'nothing'; hear many of the tracks on their own, or mix them using two decks, you'd never guess how good they could be made to sound.

This is minimal as it's supposed to sound!

Definetly not what i expected from Magdalena but this just show even more of her talent and i love it!. Tiny edits, loops and effects all over, jumping back and forth creating interesting new tracks with her Abelton layering.
To rate any particular part in this set, i can't do that, but this is one hot melting pot who instantly became a resident on my mp3 player and it won't leave the CD player for a looong time. Do not miss out on this one.

I love this CD. Magda has successfully created an album with flawless mixing that possesses the energy most minimal DJ mixes lack. The sticker on the CD suggests that this is Magda's first DJ mix ever released. However, I just came across a CD entitled "Fact & Friction" which was released by Magda several years ago. I bought it at Record Time in Ferndale, Michigan. While I can identify a number of the tracks, I don't have the full track listing.
