This record knocked seven shades of shit out of me. I was out watching Julian playing at a club called Trendz in Hackney, London and Mara Branco was dancing with us. My friend and I commented to her how amazing this music (her then husband, Julian) was playing and she went, "oh thanks, this is a track by me and Julian". Needless to say our jaws dropped! She later gave us an upfront copy each when we were next in Dragon Discs, the record shop she worked at in Camden, London. This was a truly exciting time in the 'acid techno' scene as Julian was going off in a much tougher, purer direction and we were thrilled we had in our palms a record so intense, given to us by the people pushing this new musical direction. Sadlly, Mara and Julian later separated. But this record is was milestone for me during this period. Absolutely mind blowing, especially when the very subtle but intense-as-fuck single acid line comes in towards the end. WHAT a record.
