Oh boy, Marco Bailey sure does shine on this one, especially on the second disc, where things start off slowly with the two minute intro, and before you know it we're thrown in some super banging techno territory for the next hour and some change!
Bailey's track selection is spot on as well. Uplifting, energetic and ecstatic tunes all around, all are being precisely cut, edited, mixed and dropped under the needle to ensure the dancer's maximum pleasure, only to end the whole mix with two electro stompers, out of which the first one - a collaboration between german heavy weights is bananas. Great, great stuff, and I remember Hard Cell's "Ground Effect", Gaetano Parisio's remix of Felipe's Nicola Bacler's "Sensa Di Fortuna" being particularly effective tracks on the first CD.
The first CD is much more laid back, with lush soundscapes and houseish influences all over. Something suitable either for the lazy after hours or for a stroll down the highway during sunset. Great music all the way as well, just not as party orientated as the second disc. Seriously addictive listening material, nonetheless. I found Mr. Sliff's "The Riff", with a cool saxophone solo, and Henrik B's groovy tune "Logos" to be the stand out tracks here, but the two closing ambient numbers, Boards Of Canada's "Amo Bishop Roden" and Marco Bailey's "A Tale About Myself" are beautiful as well.
Overall, highly recommended mix CD from Marco. You get stuff to rock clubs plus an additional chill CD. Get it!
