Notes
This is the first promotional version (cover has the typical golden promo stamp, while the rest of the artwork is identical to the commercial release) as originally intended by the band.
Marilyn Manson explains in ch.12 (Abuse) of "The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell" that this version has been produced by the pressing plant by mistake. A few thousand copies made it to the press, but were recalled as soon as Interscope took notice of this mistake.
The tracks "Kiddie Grinder (Remix)" and "Everlasting Cocksucker (Remix)" feature samples from the movie "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (1971), and also tracks #1 and #10 are completely different: They feature backstage recordings which have been made by the band while being on tour.
Manson explains further that Interscope didn't want to release this version because the unauthorized use of samples would constitute copyright infringement and because the backstage recordings couldn't be released without a declaration in lieu of an oath by the persons who had been recorded.
As a result the samples were removed and tracks #1 and #10 were replaced by alternative tracks.
There are various bootlegs of this release which feature a 17th track called "Procardia", which is in fact a hoax. It is a fan made "remix" of the commercial version of "May Cause Discoloration..." and is in no way related to Marilyn Manson.
As on all versions of this release the liner notes contain a typo: The booklet card gives remix credits for tracks "9&12" while it should be "4&12".
