On the seven untitled tracks of Markus Guentner's _In Moll_, he crafts carefully constructed ambience -- right from the "Track 1," he builds on a quiet sense of bliss, even as it drifts into different territories. "Track 3" unfolds with a lush warmth, even as a beat quietly throbs underneath, while "Track 5" introduces some guitar echoes before it moves onto synth pads that sound as if they're figure skating. The strings in "Track 6" add a dash of elegance to the piano meanderings. "Track 7" closes the album with some cricket-like rhythms. Quite dreamy.

In Moll is one of the most impressive ambient CD’s I have ever heard because it manages to be sooo warm, yet sooo minimal; a combination that is very very rare.
KOMPAKT, especially the ambient releases, is mostly about gently pulsating soundscapes and In Moll is no exception to that: it even is the exponent of that, bringing you endless whispering drones with hushed beats propelling all forward.
For me this is KOMPAKT at it’s very best; truly essential album that certainly will be appreciated much if you’re into ambient.

Fans of Basic Channel check this Long Player from Markus Guentner.

Minimalistic dub techno, guaranteed to get inside your Cerebrum and place you in DEEP thought. Great for those journeys abroad.Always in my MiniDisc collection on journeys to work also.
Those who know Basic Channel's 'Radiance III' or any of the 'GAS' releases & how beautiful and dark they are then this LP deserves attention from Primordial Ambient followers far & wide.

I say no more!!!!
