I don't know why I bought this cd but i'm glad I did. Mercury Rev (from what i've heard) is not really my cup of tea so i'll just skip the 3 tracks which are officially listed on the cover. The beauty on this cd is the unlisted track at the end of the cd (track 4), it has to be the weirdest stomach turning, nauseating piece of psychedelic bad come down experimental chillout ever produced. It radiates bad feelings, it's a dirty trip with clenched teeth & first class paranoia, it makes your friends want to go home. Throughout the 30 minutes there's a constantly ossicilating low key sine wave which come and goes in volume, you've got annoying thrash guitars in repetition, clips of conversations with mental patients and a rather disturbed madman screaming on about 'being inside you, I want to be inside you' .... Mad! This track used to & still does scare the living daylights out of me, guaranteed to bring uneasy ambiances wherever and whenever it's played. Just one word of advice ... Not to be listened to alone &/or in the dark!! Definately NOT for the light hearted.
