"Nicety" didn't click with American top 40 listeners as well as its predecessor, "No More Lies," did but it did score in a BIG way at urban radio, giving Michel'le her second R&B top 10 in a row. To boot, with a hook of "some people call me nice, some people call me nasty - but if you really want to know just ask me... and I'll say I'm nicety" and an understated but equally as infectious rap by Dre on the back end helped give Michel'le her 'other' trademark song and an unparalleled position with Mary J. Blige as one of the founding ladies of new jack swing.
