After ruminating on this release, the work of Mr. Dehnert, and the many emotions they've recently brought to a boil, I can only say that Mike Dehnert is synonymous with one word: genius. While I may feel slightly betrayed due to the nature of this highly difficult to obtain release, I can only hope that he will be kind enough to rerelease it in the near future. And if he doesn't, that's fine too. A master such as Dehnert must surely be permitted a few idiosyncrasies, for of course, that is also what makes his music so desirable in the first place. It's unfortunate that the distribution of music as great as this must fall subservient to the market forces of the 21st century, raising the question of the vinyl record's fate yet again. But for now let's celebrate the fact that this is a totally sick release unlike anything else out there, rather than worrying about factors out of any one (and even many) individual's control. And if you haven't heard it and are digging this, I must strongly suggest you search out Dehnert's "Live at Nature One Mix". It is one of all time best mixes I've ever heard, and incidentally also where I first had the pleasure to hear this bomb dropped.
