Milanese sure loves his bass, and LOCKOUT is full of it. Thick, gutter-style bass. It rumbles into your guts on "Baby Blue (Remix)" and into your legs on "The End" (on either the original, the more dub-wise "Untold Remix" or the wobblier "Off Mix"). I can't say that Ben Sharpa is the best lyricist, but he fits nicely in with Milanese's grimy productions. His throaty pronouncements on "B Sharpa (Reload Mix)" add to the percussive groove (not so much on the origial mix). But when a female vocalist takes the stage on his remix of Unique 3's "Take This Love," it really gets the speakers rattling. Same goes with the instrumental version of "Disclosure." Good for when you need internal organs liquified.
