Having previously dabbled in Salsoul sampling disco delights, producer Al Kent returns with a totally original number, sung in almost Teddy Pendergrass style by Sheffield’s own love walrus, Steve Edwards. A name to watch for next year with vocals appearances on the new Cassius, Xpress 2 and Fila Brasilia albums, Edwards gruff lead works well against the soulful house backdrop littered with syn drums, funky bass and strings. An immediately infectious chugger with samples that are both obscure and familiar and work in unison with the wickedly contagious title chant sounding not unlike The Detroit Spinners’ ‘I’ll Be Around’.
