Aside from all else, this bootleg was a major ripoff. A lot of these "artists" had released their tracks (i.e. Osymyso, Kurtis Rush) on vinyl, and were definitely not asked for permission by the people that brought this thing out, so this really is a bootleg of bootlegs in every sense of the word. They just downloaded the MP3s and cut a vinyl from it, which also shows from the soundquality.
this contains many of the classic bastard pop tracks that have inspired a whole new genre
worth searching out pretty much all of these independently on Soulseek, Kazaa etc, where you'll find a whole new generation of new and entertaining tunes putting together artists you'd never expect
not so sure about your bastard pop definition though - seems a bit restrictive ... things have moved on
