I remember The Moments from those "Red Lights In The Basement Parties"! Remember it was important for the girls to like the
the records and groups. This lead the guys to borrow or buy the
records that we played and "slow draged" at the parties!
Their Jersey Sound brings back memories of an era when each urban area had their own local labels and studios. This lead
to very distinct treatment and sounds.
Their early records sound very primitive. In time they were acscentuated with horns and strings. I acturally liked the older recordings better.
