Monk & Canatella's I CAN WATER MY PLANTS is a fine, fine song, but this single introduces it three times over (though the instrumental version shows how much Johnston's bruised vocals add ). The other two tracks, "Forthcoming" and "Trout," would eventually find their way onto the album, making this single for completists only. Like me, I'm afraid.
