I have never been in Detroit, but I sure get a musical ride to Detroit through this masterpiece from Moodymann. All the tracks are absolutly stunning in their composition. A full mixture of soul, funk, techno and house. It has a scruffy feel. Samples from far out lyrics and old radioprogramms with phat deep basslines underneath. Quite like his Forvernevermore-album

Besides that Moodymann himself sings with a stoned voice, so laidback and horny and at the same time full of joy like in "Hello 2morrow"

This record is in my opinion one of Moodymanns best to date.
