Reviews & Discussion

Review by theK_plusCat Nov 07, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
This is easily my favourite mouse album. It's intricatly put together with an abundance of details, all of which just flow into a very satisfying musical experience.

I've found it to be one of those rare albums which leave you feeling like you've really benifited from it in some way after some solid listening, and yet is also very nice to play in the background.

I read a comment on another MOM album that referred comparatively to Autoditacker as a "more serious" work, and also a more difficult album for the "uninitiated" to get into.

Although I agree it's technique is a difficult one, I find that that's where it stops being serious. To me, the sound of this album, heard as a whole, exudes a feeling of "Funny", even if created through complex frameworks.

As for the "unitiated", I find it relative, for he might be attracted (or repelled) by the Funny [TM] surface, even if not noticing the intrincacy.
