referencing Pass The Dutchie, 12", Promo, SAM 40T

This 1994 remix is a release that MCA just should not have released at all. The remix of this classic cut just doesn't do the original any good. Why make a house(y) version of a reggae track? Hey, I am not a house fan, so I know I am quite biased, but then again, I never thought much of remixing such great classics. The only good thing about this release is the original version. It's only in my collection because I am a collector and like my Musical Youth collection complete.

This is only for the fans of either Musical Youth or any of the remixers of this cut. If you're not a fan of either, but like the song, get a compilation with "Pass The Dutchie" -there are many!- or buy the original 12" or LP, they are easy to get and thus cheap.
