Nadja has released a monster track lasting over an hour on the equally well-respected label, aRCHIVE. Soft, ambient synths cooing like mysterious zephyrs slowly open the gate into a thicket, while minimal strums of guitars crawl along its trail. Five minutes into the misty forest, BANG! Off goes the doom metal roller-coaster in a spell-binding journey. Nadja expertly manipulates multi-layered harmonic progressions to create an atmosphere of doom, and consistently keeps the bass deeply commanding. Drumworks are toned down, maximising the effect of guitar drones on the listener.

False security is temporally returned to the listener in a faux epilogue. Like a sudden clearing in cloudy skies, thundering guitars give way to the opening ambience and minimal guitars, miraculously restoring peace and calm. The minimal atmosphere then builds itself up into a fury of unstoppable destruction: guitars ablaze with strained screeching; loops of feedback buzzing insanely; deep bass chanting a sepulchral deathwish; sound frequencies shooting off the charts; the atmosphere awash with a mystical swirl of synths. It is this grand finale that secures a near-apocalyptic vision, with the listener lost forever to the mesmerizing sounds of danger and wonder in grand proportions.

Breathtaking!
