It's unfortunate that em:t, before going out of business in 1998, left as its final legacy this dismal disc. Where are the soaring, expertly-crafted journeys of Woob, Gas and Miasma? Not on here - instead it's goofy abstract tracks and abrasive "jazzy" Amon Tobin-wannabe sample cut-ups. This stuff bears no signs of care or craftsmanship - it could have been tossed together in a couple days for all we know. We are treated to six minutes of cement mixers tumbling. Seven minutes of rainfall. Vocal samples that add no atmosphere whatsoever. And endless repetitions of parping horns and clunky rhythms that don't go anywhere. What few nice moments there are on here vanish all too quickly. I guarantee your head will not bob, nor your foot tap, not even once. A really sad way for a very interesting label to go.
