Nebula II - Peace Maker / X-Plore H-Core

"Peacemaker" is one of my all-time favourite hardcore tunes. Emerging late 1992, when rave was turning to the darkside. Complete with "Gotta pick another tune to select" samples and acid squelches midway through the track. "Peacemaker" is one of those tunes which never lets up.
Nebula II were masters of hard techno influenced hardcore, with obvious LFO inspired elements showing in their tracks (heavy-as hell basslines, Sheffield/warehouse style bleeps, etc.).
"X-Plore H-Core" is a good B-Side but notwhere as near as effective as it's flip.

The tracklisting for Nebula II's "Peacemaker/X-Plore H-Core" originals and remixes have always got me confused as to which track is which? But my top Nebula II track of all time is their remix of "X-Plore H-Core" (which by my gathering is the one with the "I know what you're thinking" sample?).
As has been said previously. This is probably one of the darkest hardcore tracks going. "X-Plore H-Core (Remix)" builds itself up slowly to begin with. Then increases in intensity until it reaches the breakdown and pummels you with these immense LFO/bleep track synths which just get your hairs standing up on end!!!
The "Peacemaker (Remix)" is class stuff to, with more acid squelches added to the original template. A top piece of vinyl alltogether.

The Peacemaker Remix on this record is just toooo dark. It's easily one of the darkest tracks Reinforced put out and that's saying something. Even deeper than the stuff by the Basement boys! Impossible to mix with, mind...
